  • One of the most important study that Bdeir did at the American University of Beirut and was published in Al Nahar Newspaper in 1993 titled Lebanese internal public debt. “Crowding out phenomena”. This study analyzed the Lebanese public debt at that time (1993) and its effect on creating the Crowding out Phenomena where the government absorbs all the liquidity of the country to finance its expenses. Thus leaving the private sector in shortage of access to finance.

  • First Arab woman in the Board of Directors of MasterCard, 2000.
  • Introducing and developing the Issuing & Acquiring Business in Lebanon: Issuance of the first debit/ credit card and developing the merchant POS/ATM network in Lebanon, 1993.
  • Introducing and developing the Issuing & Acquiring Business in Syria: Issuance of the first debit / credit card and developing the merchant POS/ATM network in Syria, 2003.
  • Nominated among the top 70 Arab Women for the year 2008 by Sayidati Magazine.
