Community/Lebanon Impact

Nada Saleh Anid is an activist advocating for the integration of gender equality measures in policymaking and public life. She co-founded Women in Front, an NGO dedicated to increasing women’s participation in politics, and in 2019 founded Madanyat, driven by the belief that a diversity of voices is essential for building a fairer, more inclusive, and democratic society. Through these organizations, she has led more than 50 projects aimed at breaking barriers to women’s engagement in public life, enhancing the involvement of women and youth in politics through policy reforms, media visibility, lobbying, capacity-building workshops, and awareness campaigns.

Her activism is further reflected in her membership in key coalitions and committees advocating for women in politics, electoral reforms, transparency, and accountability. A participant in the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), she brings both local experience and an international perspective to her work.

Beyond activism, Nada Anid has built a long career in advertising and publishing. She founded the Lebanese publishing house Tamyras in 2001 and served on the National Committee of the 2009 Francophone Games in Beirut. She is also the author of two biographies, several children’s books, and numerous articles on feminism, art, and politics—blending her creative voice with her commitment to social change.
