Community/Lebanon Impact

As the MENA Director at the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI), Haytayan manages the energy portfolios in the region, in addition, she provides timely analysis of developments related to energy governance and geopolitics. Her current goal in MENA is to continue building the Just Energy Transition Platform, collaborating with regional experts to advance research and advocacy agendas that ensure just transitions for all. Her focus areas include social acceptance, inclusive consultations and decision-making processes, economic diversification, climate financing, and geopolitics.

She regularly participates in panels covering Mediterranean energy dynamics and broader energy issues in MENA. She also frequently invited to television shows to discuss energy topics in the region. Additionally, She hosts NRGI's monthly webcasts on energy transition in MENA and the podcast "Energy Espresso," a UNDP and EU production focused on energy in Lebanon.

She was selected by Gulf Intelligence as one of the top 30 female energy market analysts and one of the top 50 energy experts in MENA for 2023.
