Community/Lebanon Impact

Dr. Inaya Ezzeddine, a Medical Doctor MD and Pathologist, is a distinguished figure in both the medical and political spheres.

Serving as a Member of the Lebanese Parliament since 2018, Dr. Ezzeddine holds key positions including Chair of the Women and Children Parliamentary Committee and the SDG2030 Agenda Parliamentary Commission. She also contributes to committees focusing on Public Health, Labour, Social Affairs, and Foreign Affairs. In May 2023, she was appointed as the National Convenor for Food System Transformation

Prior to her parliamentary tenure, Dr. Ezzeddine served as Minister of State for Administrative Reform from 2016 to 2018.

Her advocacy for people-centered policies is exemplified by her draft bill on the "Right to Food," informed by extensive analysis of Lebanon's legislative landscape.

Recognized internationally for her leadership and dedication, Dr. Ezzeddine was awarded the Legion of Honor by President Emmanuel Macron of France in 2020.
