Caroline Hayek has been working for the Lebanese French-language daily newspaper L'Orient-Le Jour since 2014. She covers the Middle East, particularly Syria and Lebanon, with a focus on the Syrian conflict and the Lebanese crisis.
Caroline Hayek is also a columnist for RTBF (Radio-television of the French Community of Belgium) and a correspondent for L'Express.
On November 15, 2021, she received the Albert Londres Prize for a series of reports on Beirut after the 2020 port explosion, published by L'Orient-Le Jour.
