Community/Lebanon Impact
Dr. Fadia Kiwan is the founder and former director of the Institute of Political Science at Université Saint-Joseph, where she continues to serve as a professor of Political Science. She is also a visiting professor at several universities in France, Italy, Spain, Egypt, and Tunisia.
She holds a Doctorat d’État in Comparative Politics from the University Paris I – Sorbonne and a CAPES in Philosophy and Psychology from the Lebanese University.
A researcher and consultant for various Arab and international organizations, Dr. Kiwan serves as the representative of the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, in the Conseil Permanent de la Francophonie. She was a member of the United Nations University Council from 2007 to 2013, president of the Scientific Committee of MOST at UNESCO Headquarters, a member of the Executive Board of the NCLW, and a former representative of Lebanon on the Executive Board of the Arab Women Organization.

Work history
- Member of the Executive board of the NCLW and former representative of Lebanon in the executive board of the Arab Women Organization.
- 2002 - 2018: Founder and Director, Institute of Political Science, Saint Joseph University of Beirut.
- 2015: Member of the Senior Expert Committee commissioned by Unesco to produce its 2015 report on education in the 21 century.
- 2013 - 2017: Lebanon's Representative to the Permanent Council of La Francophonie.
- 2007 - 2013: Member of the Council of the United Nations University.
