Community/Lebanon Impact

Nayla Comair Obeid is an ambassador to Tamanna, actively working to support children there. In addition to her efforts with Tamanna, she is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Lebanon. From artists to lawyers, she builds relationships with young adults and provides mentorship to help them achieve their dreams and navigate their career paths.

Nayla is also involved with SHE Min Lebnen. Whenever she travels back to Lebanon, she engages directly with women in villages, offering guidance on their crafts and advising them on how to commercialize their products.

  • In a bid to inspire young Arab women and aspiring designers and broaden her reach to this target group, Acra has co-created and starred on the hugely successful Middle Eastern reality TV show, Fashion Star, where she serves as the lead judge and mentor to 12 aspiring up-and-coming designers.

  • Named the 7th Most Powerful Arab Woman in the World by Forbes Magazine.

  • She was awarded an honorary prize by the United Nations for her support of the 66th session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2012.
  • She received the Building Bridges Award from the Bridges of Understanding Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving relations between the Middle East and the United States.
