Muriel Aboulrouss Bio – Producer, Filmmaker, Cinematographer , Teacher & Creative Consultant Muriel Aboulrouss is an award-winning cinematographer and the creator of the Intuitive Film Lab, a program dedicated to empowering emerging audiovisual artists. Starting her career in 1997, she earned international acclaim for her cinematography in commercials, feature films, and documentaries, winning numerous awards. In 2012, Muriel stepped away from commercial work, seeking a deeper, more meaningful purpose for her craft. This led to the creation of a unique film lab program that encourages filmmakers to explore intuitive, free-form storytelling. In 2014, Muriel co-created the award-winning documentary series Zyara, a poetic exploration of human resilience and beauty. Zyara has garnered 50 international awards and became a tool for social healing, inspiring and empowering youth through its stories of everyday heroes overcoming adversity. Now, Muriel works as a freelance creative consultant for agencies and a producer with independent creators, while selectively returning to cinematography. In 2025, Muriel joined the Torino Film lab team at the Red Sea Lodge program to contribute as a cinematography tutor for 12 feature films; she continues to teach at various universities in the MENA Region, she mentors independent filmmakers, and inspires new generations of filmmakers—believing that talent is a gift, freedom requires courage, truth is revolutionary, and art is an act of love.
