Community Involvement

Joanna Khalaf is a multidisciplinary Lebanese artist and creative professional whose work bridges architecture, contemporary art, and performing arts. She studied Architecture at the Fine Arts Institute in Lebanon before moving to France to deepen her expertise, where she had the opportunity to work on ambitious projects alongside renowned architects and designers such as Jean-Michel Wilmotte and Jacques Grange. Her experience in the building and design world enabled her to develop a strong network and a unique understanding of the dialogue between space and art. This led her to create her own art advisory agency, where she develops strategies for integrating contemporary art into architectural projects, curating artistic programs for offices, public spaces, and five-star hotels in Paris. Alongside her work in visual arts, Joanna is an actress. She trained in the prestigious Cours Florent acting school in Paris and has performed in various theatre productions and films across France and Lebanon. Her experience on stage also nurtured her writing practice and allowed her to teach public speaking and creative expression. Drawing from her background in both contemporary art and theatre, Joanna creates interdisciplinary performances where the visual and the performative intertwine, producing poetic and socially engaged works that explore identity, space, and human emotion.
