Community Involvement
She is a professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and have been practicing as an Obstetrician & Gynecologist at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) since 2004. Currently she's the director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Fellowship Program and the director of the Fertility Preservation Program at the American University of Beirut Medical Center since 2020. She was also named the head of the Division of REI and the director of the Haifa Idriss Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Laboratory in 2023. Her vast experience has enabled her to be a community leader, dedicated to serving disadvantaged communities. Her most notable achievement in this regard is creating the Hope Fund, which provides financial assistance to low-income individuals and cancer patients in need of IVF and fertility preservation in Lebanon. During the multiple crises Lebanon was passing through, she decided to stay and provide the care her patients needed. She dedicated herself to provide displaced Lebanese women with access to healthcare during the 2024 war, where she led multiple volunteer groups to provide such communities with much-needed prenatal and gynecological treatment and care. In August 2025, and in collaboration with the leadership program for women at the Olayan School of Business at the American University of Beirut, she established the "By women for Women" leadership workshop for mastering healthcare management and public health. Moreover, she created a social media account where women’s success stories are shared, to improve the knowledge around IVF and pregnancy and to shed light on important obstetric and gynecological issues.
