Community Involvement

For the last 15 years, Joulia Bou Karroum led various projects implementations within local and international Non-Governmental Organizations, and she performed in several positions, such as Consultant for Human Rights Program at Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Programs Director for the Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections and Executive Director for Women in IT, in addition to substantial and large experience in monitoring elections, lobbying and advocacy on electoral reforms, raising awareness and voter education, human rights and its international mechanisms, and currently, she is acting as Human Rights Education Coordinator for the MENA region at Amnesty International. Joulia's expertise includes strong knowledge and skills in NGOs Management and its related business administration and financial management, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, strong knowledge of the civil society organizations, roles and their field of expertise within the MENA Region and especially in Lebanon, she is a certified trainer in Human Rights Instruments and International Mechanisms, Elections Laws, Elections Monitoring and Voter Education, Women and Youth Participation, Projects and NGOs management, Citizenship, Leadership and Advocacy.
